During math we were learning about currency! Mrs.Cleveland had a great idea to make this unit fun! We made a code. We were coding an “IPhone”, what it does is you will choose a place from the options (everything converts into CAD). Next step is you would be putting in an amount, it can be as much as you would like! You hit enter then BOOM! thats when the coding happens! You will then see the amount you converted into CAD! Journal #3-Earth day, for journal number 3 we have to choose two out of ten ideas besides 5,6.I chose number 3 and a cool idea by a class mate which is make a art project with recycled items. I have decided to share my project by a video.
Since the video is long I will tell what I did. In the video I made a tree out of egg crates (recycled iteam). It was very fun but still pretty easy so everyone can do it. Here is a picture.
For the one hour no power it was pretty easy or so I thought it would be. I worked on a couple projects and read, then I got bored so I made some slime, cleaned my room, ate, did dances went insane and showed you some tricks. It was hard and my mom moved the camera from the office to my room.
That is how I celebrated earth day for Social Studies.
I want to be an architect. The three points I will talk about is why I chose to be an architect, how I can prepare for this job, and the main reason why we have jobs. I have big dreams and I hope they come true. I don’t know how I came up with the idea to be an architect. All I know is that my dad mentioned an architect to my family. I asked what it was. After he explained I knew that is what I want to be.
I am just eleven but I have big dreams. I am really interested in being an architect because I have a lot of fun building things and designing buildings. I still am building many things. I have so many blocks like Lego, magnetic blocks, and normal blocks. I always try to build many new buildings. I also like to design many buildings on tinkercad. Being an architect also relates to math. If you were my friend, you would know that I love math. I think I am pretty good at it. I am the treasurer at my school, that means I count money. That job involves math. Do you know what tinkercad is?
Tinkercad an app where you design different objects. I could prepare myself by building new buildings. In the app tinkercad you can design and build all kinds of different things. Another way I can prepare is to meet a couple architects and get some tips. Since an architect involves math I would spend most of my time practicing math. Shoutout to Yardayna because we are going to make a business together. I am going to design the buildings and she is going to decorate the actual building. She wants to be an interior designer and I want to be an architect. Don’t we make a great duo for our job…
The point of jobs is to earn money. Without money you will be poor and maybe live on the streets. Jobs are a very important part of people’s lives. You have to work hard to get a good job. Some jobs get more money than others. To me, money is not very important, it is the family that counts. I think if you have a good family you should have a good life.
When you’re a kid you may have an idea of what you want to be when you grow up. I want to be an architect. I will have to work really hard to get this job. The three topics I told you about were,why I chose to be an architect, how I can prepare for this job, and the main reason why we have jobs.In conclusion whatever job you pick you can still have a great life.
Today we opened a Cafe’ at our school for math. On Thursday we cooked ahead so we were not worried about time. We made Breakfast Casserole, Blueberry Muffins, Banana Bread that’s all we made but we had more things like Pancakes, Walnut Yogurt Dip, Fruit Salad. For drinks there was Tea, Coffee, Water Bottles, Orange Juice. I was a Waitress’s and with me was Kyra, Lily, Gabe and Dj. Here’s who was Kitchen Staff was Adrielle, Sophia, Sam, Remy and Harper. The Hosts were Agam and Max. The cashiers were Andrew and Ashton. The cashiers have to be very quick with math. The hosts greet the customers and take them to their seats. The kitchen staff put the food on the plate with garnish. The Waiters take their order. I was a Waiter and had 3 tables. I seated my dad. It was really hard to get to each table. A lot of people got the Breakfast Casserole and Coffee. I took people’s money and I gave their change back. All the money is going to Tzedakah box. I got frustrated because my orders took a long time to get ready but I did it!!! I learned to be very patient with my customers when there very picky. I made the Breakfast Casserole with Ashton, Sophia and Andrew. Kyra, Agam, Sam, Dj, Adrielle, Harper and Mrs. Ross made Banana Bread. Sophia, Andrew, Ashton , Mrs. Hallet and I made the Breakfast Casserole. Max, Lily, Gabe, Remy and Mrs. Lewis made Blueberry muffins. During the Cafe’ what I think I did well was the talking I showed my personality. I asked drinks then food. What I think I can do better is go slower with the order like don’t walk away when there still talking. We had $255.20. Thanks so much. I had fun and they had fun too. One day the class went on a field trip.We went to FT.Menendez .We are learning about Native Americans.We learned that they used needles to do tattoos. When you come in the cage you are suppose to say hoo hoo ha ha . You would learn a lot of cool things. After you get out there are games to play.They tell you how you built a canoe . I got face pant and a tattoo. At the end I was a indian.Indians are cool! I sat on bear fur. The person hoo was incharg was weraing a fox pirse and fox fur it was so cool.We learned that the girls dont cut of there hare unlase the husband dies they cut there hare to there sholders .The boys dont cut there hare iven if the wife dies.the boys makea big bun to make them taller. They are so tall. They bloe a horn to tulk with pipule far away.We learned how throw corn thru a hole. A family has a tattoo that is the same so if a kid gets lost they can find the kid.We smashd corn. We looked at lise cool anamoles bons. We made a necles. They turnd are teacher into a chef.They put a gras skirt on her and a crown and a staf to hold and a cote.We saw a log made out of a canoe.We saw so much games. We plaed a game and I won.There was a game that was like you had to get a ball in a tiny holle.
