Near the beginning of the year.    

First Step

I woke up and I was shivering. It was so cold I pulled the blankets over my face because I did not want to get out the bed. I dragged myself out of my bed and fell on my floor. I fell asleep on the floor for three minutes. I finally got up and wrapped a warm, soft, pink robe around me. I slowly dragged my feet one by one across the soft carpet. I got dressed very slowly and got my hair brushed and my teeth. I walked down stairs and ate breakfast. I got my snow suit on. I was all ready to go shivering with my snow suit on. I walked outside, the wind brushed across my face, I smelled the cold air. I dipped my finger in the snow and it felt very cold. My foot gently placed on the snow and made a schsch. Winter was finally here.

Near the end of the year

First Step

I woke up shivering. I pulled the blanket over my head. My eyes opened very slowly. First I saw my mom, next I saw my closet. Everything was very blurry. I slowly pulled my feet out of the covers. Shhh shhh. That was my carpet as I started to walk towards the closet. Bam! The lights were now on and my eyes were wide open. Sadly I was still tired. Uhh uhhh! I was grunting. I was using to much effort by grabbing my clothes from my closet. We all knew I was the slowest to get ready for school. Finally, I’m dressed. I’m suddenly awake now. Plop plop plop! As I hop down the stairs you can hear the banging of my feet. I quickly put on my bright blue snow pants, my bright pink jacket, bright pink hat, bright pink boots. As I walked outside the wind brushed across my face. I smelled the cold air. I dipped my finger in the snow, it was very cold. I placed my foot down very gently and the snow made a schsch.

This could be a whole lot of homework that you get from school. OJCS is my school! OJCS is a private school. This is what my school looks like.

My school is a Jewish school.Every year we get two shinshinim. That means, two teenagers from Israel come to Ottawa for one year. They prepare tons of fun activities. The grades are k-8. I’m in grade 5. We learn three different languages. We learn French,Hebrew, and English. The principals name is Jon. (AKA) my dad. OJCS stands for, Ottawa Jewish Community School. We have extended and core. Extended means you are on a hire level the core. Core mean you are below the extended group. I’m in extended Hebrew and core French. This is my restaurant review for Moe’s.

Moe’s

“Welcome to Moe’s.” When you are hungry and you want to eat Mexican food, Moe’s is the one to go to. In my opinion, Moe’s is the best Mexican place in Florida. I love Mexican food. If I were to rate this restaurant I would rate it 5-5 stars. I will be telling you three amazing things about Moe’s. The taste, how polite they are, and the location.

I’m starving let’s go to Moe’s.  That’s where all my favourite food is. The taste is exceptional. I can’t wait! All the juicy flavours mix together and make my favourite dish. Do you know what a great thing about Moe’s is? The portion size is so perfect. I’m not too full when I leave but I’m too hungry. That’s the perfect combination. The size is not too small but not too big. I normally order quesadillas. They’re my favourite. The melted cheese and all the flavours mix together. Mmmmmm so good. Oh how rude of me, I forgot to tell you how pretty they plate the dishes. I really like the way they plate the dishes. They put the chips in a little cute basket and quesadillas and burritos in tin foil. It really is western style. It looks super good!

“Can I please have the cheese quesadillas.” “Sure absolutely.” Wow they’re already here. That was so fast. Let’s just dig right in. The staff are so polite. As soon as you walk in they welcome you by saying ,”Welcome to Moe’s!” and if you go there a lot they might even remember you.They’re so nice. When you order your food they are so patient. Every single time my family would go to Moe’s it would take less than 15 minutes to get our food. It’s super speedy to get your food. That’s why there’s never a long line.The staff are so professional, they even wear uniforms. When you come in, the tables are really clean. You can’t even find a speck of dust. When you order your food the space that they cook in is always clean. They keep the whole restaurant super neat and tidy.

I’m sitting in my house and watching TV, my stomach starts to growl grrrrr. I pick up my iPad and see what’s the nearest restaurant. Moe’s is only a ten minute drive. Since it’s so close I can go there as often as I like. The location is also in a shopping mall. So after we eat we can go shopping. Also if we go shopping and we get hungry we can always just walk over to Moe’s. If you hate not having a parking spot that is right by the door you’re in luck because at Moe’s the parking is right at the door. After a long day you’re probably tired and don’t want to walk for that long. If so then Moe’s is the place for you. Parking spots are right across from the restaurant. You don’t even have to take five steps! There are so many empty parking spots. It’s way too hard to choose a spot.

Overall Moe’s is a very good restaurant. I would definitely recommend it. If you were to go to Moe’s, it is in Jacksonville, Florida. If you are a Mexican food lover, then Moe’s is your go to place. Remember, Moe’s is known for their taste, how polite they are, and where they are located. I love Moe’s. On my birthday when we go to a restaurant I will always say,” I want to go to Moe’s!” I love Moe’s and I hope you will too.

Grandma, grandpa, bubbie, poppy. Those are all very important people in our lives. On May,13,2019 it was grandparents day! My Bubbie and my Poppy came to my school for this day. It all started when Ava brought all the grandparents up stairs to our classroom. I spotted my Bubbie so I went to her and gave her a giant hug. We were split up into three groups and there were three stations. We started of bye doing an art craft. We made a Hamsa and coloured the background with pastel. Here is picture of me and my Bubbie making the Hamsa.

After that activitie we went to another room. That activitie was about Israel. It was about a man who was scheduling a visit to Israel. We were seeing if all the facts were true. If they were not true we would have to right down the correct response. That was reallly fun. The next activitie was a kahoot. It was also about Israel. The whole day was about Israel! 🇮🇱 This professional camera man came in to take photos of the kids and the grandparents. Me and my grandparents took a photo. Overall it was a really fun day!
